Afghan Peace Foundation was part of refugee week celebration hosted by SydWest Multicultural Services, SydWest Multicultural Services at the blacktown workers Club.
It was amazing to share the room with the President of the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA), Jasmina Bajraktarevic , the Blacktown councillor Livingston Chettipally, Sydney West Multicultural team and many more leading organizations and community leaders.
Absolutely delighted to hear refugee stories particularly Ibrahim Bangura the writer of the " 24th Son" book as well as the amazing performance from Afghanistan, Africa and Lebanon among many other countries.
Despite of the recent earthquake in Afghanistan, it was absolutely emotional to see Afghan traditional music performed by Emal Orya in the honour of our artists who has no voice and rights to play in Afghanistan, followed by a poetry from Bibi Gul Mosavi about story of Afghan Women Struggles which melt our hearts.
Last but not least, thanks to the amazing MC Clement Warille Meru for the great work and SydWest for the amazing event.
Thank You
